Summer Cascadia Expedition Trips
Description: As part of the funding received from the Oregon Department of Education – Youth Council Division for the Benton County Positive Youth Development Coalition, Strengthening Rural Families is organizing trips for youth with Cascadia Expeditions. The preference is to gather a consistent group of 6-10 youth that would attend all 3 activities. Profile: 13-18 year olds that are doing well in their respective communities/programs and would benefit from more skills mastery.
The first trip will be on july 18th- Whitewater Rafting, August 8th- Canyoneering, August 29th – Rock Climbing.

One Circle Foundation provides uniquely powerful, interactive, and experiential training for adults. Grief Support Group
Class Description: A monthly meeting of fun, learning and support for families with children and teens ages 4–18 who are grieving. Children and teens participate in age-specific groups and engage in creative activities that encourage open discussion, expression and provide valuable education about grief and loss. Parents and guardians participate in an adult group to learn more about how to support grieving children and teens.
Time: 5:30-7:30pm, First Wednesday each month
Location: Old Mill Center for Children and Families, 1650 SW 45th Place, Corvallis, OR

Jackson Street's Spring Independent Living Skills
Class Description: A 5 week series presenting various life skills to teach kids to live self-sufficiently. Benton County youth ages 15-18 (14 if referred by DHS) are welcome to join. Free admission! Certificates of Completion and gift cards are given out to individuals who complete all 5 workshops.
Time: Every Wednesday beginning May 4th-June 1st from 5:00pm-6:30pm.
Location: In the Meeting House at the Corvallis Overnight Shelter (555 NW Jackson Ave. Corvallis, OR 97333)
